I have the BenQ E2200HD... and it's wonderful. 1920x1080 and 1080p for my Xbox 360 and Blu-Ray drive. No complaints :D

The benq2200hd look sweet but how is thw viewign angle. Is it as bad as other TN panel? Also, any idea on how it compare to Dell S2209W 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor and S2309W 23-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor. Also, whgat is better for computer gaming? 2ms or 5ms

I know, I know, holy thread resurrection, Batman, but I'm also curious about the Dell S2209W. Anyway, to answer your question, a lower response time is better- but it's very unlikely that you'll be able to tell the difference between 2ms and 5ms. Like, REALLY unlikely.

I have that L227WTG and I am not all that impressed although it does seem better than most others I have looked at. the text does look better than most so thats a good thing. it does still have the same horrific viewing angles as any other crappy TN panel. although the backlight bleeding is very minimal its still got an annoying little strip across the very top that bothers me in dark games. also this thing retails for a whopping 310 bucks and they cant even include a freakin DVI cable?

I have pretty basic standards for monitors -- as long as it looks nice and has no dead pixles, I'm not worried about 2vs 5ms response time or anything. I figure I'm not a graphics designer or CAD engineer, so why should I discriminate, right?

I bought a Sceptre 22 inch recently for $160 shipped from newegg. No dead pixles, the screen looks great, movies look great and games play awesome. The image quality is better than the old 19 inch non WS dell I had from 2004 and, at the time, that dell blew away most midrange monitors.

I'm sure that this sceptre ranks on the bottom in scientific tests and the brand reptutaiton isn't good, but for the price, I can afford to replace this in a year if it blows up for some reason. Heck, for the price, I can easily afford a second.

I mainly chose it for price and the fact that it's 1650x. I don't want too high of a resolution since I'm gaming on a 4850. I like very high FPS and 1650x is more than enough for me.

For what it's worth, I owned the L227WTG briefly before returning it due to unacceptable viewing angles(in my eyes) and much to my surprise it did come with a DVI cable.

Does anyone own the Acer H213H and that can comment on the viewing angles? Is it a good gaming(PC/PS3/XBOX) and movie watching monitor?

I run a L227WTG and a dell 2009. The dell was sent as a waranty replacment for a row that went dead on my other monitor.
The dell has a VERY high gloss finish to it and took along time to get adjusted to. I only use the dell for mIRC, gaim, occasional web browsing while Im gaming on the L227WTG.
The L227WTG I adjusted it so its tilted forward all the way and it helped the viewing angle.
the L227WTG seems to have better color also but im sure the dell isnt adjusted since I dislike it.
Im pretty use to both now but switching to gloss screens was a rough first week on the eyes.

Question, people always talk about bad view angles on a TN panel, are you viewing stuff standing up or standing to the left or right of the LCD? I mean I sit in front of the LCD as you should and its perfect, just curious...

You know I too am genuinely curious how some people can claim that a monitor has good viewing angles while another person says that they are horrendous. Is there a "batch" variance on the TN panels quality or are peoples tolerance for viewing angles just different? All I can say is that with "my" L227 the color would shift if I moved my head just an inch to the right or to the left or if I changed sitting position. Now that's not exactly what I would call acceptable when you are spending a couple of hundred dollars on a product now is it?

Must be because. When I sit Down in my chair the lcd looks perfect no color change at all. So it must on a case by case issue

with TN panels it usually only takes a 1 or 2 inch movement to shift the colors or darkness of the monitor.

well its not noticeable on everything you look at. usually on a dark webpage, background or game the shift from light to dark will be very obvious.
