Best 21" monitor for use with Photoshop

The aunt is looking for a 21" to use with her architectural and design software. A lot of Photoshop usage, so it's got to be 'True Color'. CRTs only. Price range is under $1K.

<<what about viewsonic P-817?>>

Thats a shadow mask. I hope you read my post last time comparing shadow mask and aperture grille.

i did read your post and i dont want a shodow mask, the seller said it was trintron (the official spec site didnt).

thanx for the warning LXi.

The reseller probably got the P817 confused with PF815, you see P is their crap shadow mask monitor(looks really bad IMO), and PF is based on the DiamondTron NF tube.

In case anyone cares, the KDS AV-21TF is about $730 shipped and the Samsung 1200NF should be about the same (if their current pricing scheme is any indication)

Lore:

Can you really do 2048x1536 with AV-21TF? On this thread we've been arguing about whether the Samsung can really do 2048x1536 like they claimed.

I heard that the AV-195TF can also do well above 1600x1200(which is what they said on their site).
