I'm building a new computer and i've decided on everything except for my speakers. I was originally going to get a 4.1 set, then decided against it b/c i have a small room and i don't really have a need for surround sound. So i've decided that a 2.1 set is the best way to go. I'm willing to spend about $100 on a good set of 2.1 speakers. Any suggestions?

You know, you can just stack the rear satellites on top of the front satellites... Problem solved.

And anyway, I think you should get the Logitech Z560 4.1s for $160 shipped. Unless all you have is $100, in which case the Logitech Z340 2.1s for $46 shipped is a good bet.

The prices are from Newegg, but if you hang around the Hot Deals forum you can probably get the Z560s for $120 shipped or less.

The Logitech's are good, but for $50 (maybe a little less), you can get the Labtec Pulse-424's. The best $50 speakers out there.

I wouldnt recommend Logitech because their customer support svcks. They dont have 1-800- number for technical assistance. If you are lucky enough to get a good pair of speakers, fine. Otherwise, I'd rather recommend Altec Lansing or Boston Accoustic models.
