Best 2.1 speaker setup for computers

I'm using a set of "Aura" 2.1 speakers I got at CostCo ten years ago. The satellites are actually kind of big (which is nice) and they've even got wood cases (which is rare) so they're not horrible, but it might be time to get something nicer.

Any ideas?

My main/only concern is music. Maybe movies, but no gaming.

Thanks!

Does anybody here have the Guillemot Hercules XPS 2.1 Lounge speaker kit? I have a Dell GC that I can only use in Home & Home Office, and this looks like it might be the best bang:buck for me.

If these are the speakers I think they are (AURA is the consumer electronics division of Aurasound, manufacturer of speaker parts), I wouldn't bother. I haven't heard anything in the sub-$75 product I really like.

Would it be hijacking the thread to say that I'm looking for a new 2.1 setup as well?

My needs are probably a bit different than Scootermaster's though, as my main reason for getting a new setup is that my new computer is putting out mad amounts of noise on analog. Basically, I've got a 'puter capable of digital out and I was hoping I could find a 2.1 setup that accepted digital in.

I'm really not too picky (really!), especially as my current speakers are ancient beyond reckoning. 😛
