Best 2.1 Speaker Set under $ 100

I am new to this and could use some good advice.

I currently have Altec Lansing's ACS340 speaker set for my PC and am trying to improve on that.

I use my speakers mainly for music (mostly rock, rap, and techno) and sometimes for watching/listening to Cardinal baseball games.

Would someone please tell me the best 2.1 sets out there for under $ 100? And also, how much of an improvement would they make over my current set-up?

And one more thing, should I just pony-up more cash for a Logitech Z-2300 2.1?
