Best 2.0 Computer Speakers

Hopefully you guys can help me out with this one. My mother has recently gotten in tune with online audio, itunes to be exact. She has an IBM Thinkpad T30 that she uses for her sound system. The notebook's speakers are pretty crummy so I was thinking of upgrading to a PCMCIA Sound Blaster Audigy ZS sound card but I haven't decided on the speakers yet. They need to be 2.0 as there is not enough room for a subwoofer. I was thinking of Bose's Companion Speakers that I saw for $99. What do you guys recommend? $100 is a little expensive to me, but if its necessary I will do it.

klipsch 2.0 or bose companion if you are looking to spend ~100. we could easily recommend some swans or monitor audio though 🙂
