Best 1Gbps router

So, I wanted to get the D-Link DGL-4100 on sale at NE, but they sold out. I also have a feeling that D-Link is stopping production, as everyone else's price has gone up, and on Buy.com it said it wasn't available from the manufacturer.

Any other good options? I could get the 655, but I was planning on using my WRT54G as my wireless. Is the 655 the best option at this point? Anything else coming out that's better?

I don't have any special needs, I just need to run a home server off of it and be able to sync/backup files quickly over the network.

Thx!

ah, yes, excellent idea. i was thinking about the D-link switch for my other room, so maybe I'll do 2 of the trendnet 5 ports instead.

If i have 2 rigs connected to 2 different switches that are daisy chained, I can avoid having traffic b/t the two go through the router, right? If it has to still go through the 10/100 router than it would slow things up...

i recently bought (3) of those TRENDNet switches...very nice product. Yes, if you have the 2 Gigabit switches chained, computers on the same subnet can talk without hitting the router.
