Best 19" LCD Monitor?

I have it narrowed down to the Samsung 191T for $795., and the NEC 1920X for $730.They have similar specs. Is one better? Is there another one I should look at? Any deals or coupons? I want digital interface and a good value.

If I had to choose between two 19" LCD monitors it would be the Dell 1900FP (a rebadged Samsung 191T) or the Planar PL191M. If you do a search in these forums there is a nice thread comparing the two.

Take a look at Dell's website. The latest deal is $40 off any order above $300 and free shipping. Planar is offering an additional $50 rebate through 1/31/03. 1900FP is $759 ($40 off $799) and PL191M is $669 ($40 off and $50 rebate).

I love my Planar CT1904Z....I know it's not on your list, but it has analog and DVI, speakers, plus USB.

Great for gaming as well. No issues whatsoever.

Don't forget to look at the Viewsonic VX900 - just got a "kickass" award from Max PC. I have two of them and they are terrif.

Thanks for the ideas. I just got the Feb. PC World tonight. It rates the Samsung and Viewsonic #1.
