Well I've got a 19" black Hitachi CM721F monitor... best monitor I've ever had, and I play games all the time. I got mine for about $200 used.

Thanks for the input...i have been looking at the viewsonic g90f.... anyone out there had experience with this monitor?

anways, i take it its a shadow mask correct???

I have an old (~3yrs) Sony E400 19" flat trinitron that works great for games at 1600x1200.
You can probably get one on the cheap now.

As far as I know, the Samsung 955DF with .20 is best 19", and its only $169.

.20 is the horizontal dot pitch. The theoretical diagonal dot pitch is then around .24, but I have this monitor and while the text is by no means blurry, I have seen plenty of sharper displays.

Here's a secret Gem:

Cornerstone p1460.

I got mine from www.monitorsdirect.com with 5 year warranty 🙂. I absolutely love it (except for weight and size hehe)! flat screen, CRISP text, easy on eyes w/ high refresh rates, 1600X1200 @ 85hz, etc.
