Best 19" CRT Brands?

Looking for a good 19" flat screen CRT monitor. Would like to spend between $200-$300. I've been looking at Viewsonic and Hitachi. I know Sony and Samsung are good, but expensive. Which would you recommend out of Viewsonic or Hitachi? Any other suggestions?

Hitachi, NEC (they also have high-end models as expensive as Samsung, Sony's high-end models),
Samsung, Sony (they also have low-end models as cheap as Hitachi, NEC's low-end models).

How would you rate hitachi?

Hitchi is good, but it all depends on the tube. Do you game more or word process/code more? If you do text, then Hitchi with shadowmask. Games/video then NEC with Diamondtron.

Anyone have experience with Philips monitors? They're priced pretty well on Newegg and can go to some high resolutions. I was wondering what everyone thought of those.

i was actually looking at the viewsonic g90f. Any experince with viewsonic or that model?
