best 19" and 21" CRT gaming monitors?

You can get a KDS 19inch ExtremeFlat for $99 ($199 - $99 rebate) at most officemax stores. This is an awesome budget gaming CRT, I run all my games at 1600x1200@75hz. You really cant be the price.

Just ordered an NEC/MITSUBISHI 19" Aperature Grille at Dell. Dells prices are a little higher than neweggs, but they offer free shipping, so with that, it comes out to about the same price and/or cheaper. Not to mention Dells no hassle return policy. Newegg will not have a no hassle type return policy like they do on most other things they sell, but when it comes to monitors, you will have to deal with the manufacturer if you get a faulty monitor from newegg. Dell will take care of it no problem.

Hope this monitor is as good as everyone says it is!!

I got the NEC-Mitsu DP930SB to go with my new rig. Haven't really seen other CRTs in action, but I love the clarity on this one. Nice solid build too.

Sony, yeah if you have the cash. But, I don't think so anymore since they discontinued their high end for LCD. That leaves Viewsonic and Samsung. Viewsonic has unbeatable color fidelity for pictures and videos. I find NEC to be too soft in depth and focus. I like sharp objects hehe.😉

I've no problems with the P1110s. Personally I've owned a HP P1120 before(HP/Dell/IBM, they're mostly identical) and it's great. My school uses a lot of Dell P1110s too and they're not dim to me.

The only problem I have with FDTrinitrons is that their CRT screen itself isn't as dark as conventional shadow mask monitors, so blacks won't be as black. They make it up with their great contrast/brightness though.

aperture grill and "perfect flat" r a must

i have a viewsonic pf790 (19") and its great...also kds makes some great budget monitors
