Best 17" trinitron monitor?

My Dad needs a new monitor and he's asked me to let him know which one's the best. He doesn't really need a flat lcd screen, and 17" should be big enough.

Just a nice flat trinitron monitor would be great. I seem to remember the sony ones were supposed to be pretty good? What's the exact model number? Or any other recommendations?

get him a 19". the 19" are pretty cheap now. i think the e410 is like 300.00 bux now? maybe 50.00 over the 17!

yeah...i suppose it's a case of a top of the range 17" or a mid-range 19" perhaps.

How much are proper 17" lcd flat screens these days roughly?

The P77 is a good monitor, I have an apple studio display 17' that has a trinitron tube and works in windows and is also great. The 17 inchers and the 19 inchers both have a max resolution of 1600x1200, but the 19 of course have more glass/space/money involved.
