Another vote for the SGI 1600SW with the multi-link adapter. It's 17.4" widescreen aspect ratio.

Another vote for the SGI 17.3" 1600SW SuperWide 1600x1024 display.. this is a Professional display and not the consumer level display you see by most companies... Only the Apple 22" Cinema Display is better at $4000. Both are Mitsubishi OEM Displays.
