Anyone have any recommendations on which flat screen 17" monitor to get ?

I saw a Dell co-branded NEC 15" one and love it. I was wondering if the 17" monitor
would be equally crisper. What are the things to look for and whats the best
mail order place for it ?

Thanks kindly!

I am thinking about getting a 700NF, it appears to be one of the best looking 17" monitors available and at a decent price

I bought the Samsung SyncMaster 753DF at Best Buy for $129 after MIR. It is not the best, but it is a real bestbuy.

Check this review.

I have a KDS AV7TF, and it works great for me. I don't think it is as "high" quality as some of the other brands, but after looking at all of them at the same time, the difference is minimal. I would say check out the one that has the highest refresh rate for the resolution you want, as that will help eyestrain.

I highly recommend checking out the LG Flatron 795FT.

I just bought a black ViewSonic 17" flatscreen for my sister. Let me go look at the model number.................ok, it's E70fb. I guess E70 is the model, the "f" is for flat and the "b" is for black. Anyway, I think it looks great. The color is bright, the text is sharp. It doesn't have that "concave" appearance that some flatscreens have. I bought it here.

Duh! I just realized, I am not looking for a flat screen
but a flat PANEL monitor as in those new skinny
flat panel 17" LCD monitors.

Any recommendations please ?

Indeed, imo, DVI is a *must* if you are gettin an lcd.
I'm sure raspetwin will agree, i convinced him to get a card with DVI and he seemed to be really happy with it.
