I'm using a single Maxtor 160GB SATA 6Y160M0 on the A8N-SLI Deluxe Nforce controller and it's been awesome for over 1 month now. It's 100% stable, and extremely fast!
In Hdtach I get 125MB/s burst, and 50MB/s average with less than 2% cpu usage.
I built a similar setup with the same harddrive for my sister last week, and it works just as flawlessly.

I haven't had any problems with my Maxtor SATA 250 GB DiamondMax 10 drive since I moved to the 1004 version BIOS and disabled NCQ. From what I understand, the NCQ problem is not solely related to Maxtors right now, but to any NCQ drive. The only problem this board had with most peoples Maxtor drives was that earlier BIOS versions would not detect them at all.
