Where can I get the best/ cheapest 160 GB hd... I am looking for a web address to get it...

I have looked at newegg and they are $235... Is there a reputable site that can match or beat this?

The lowballers on pricewatch are selling "OEM" 1 yr warranty drives, beware.

Got caught by your title,

Anyhoo, newegg is a great place and offers great prices as well.

BTW,

As far as I know, Maxtor is the only company making these beasts right now, might be wrong...

Did you try Dell Home with the 10% discount and $10.00 off stackable coupons and free shipping? Dell is usuaully the cheapest when they have coupons around.

The only 160gig drive that I know of is a Maxtor (ata133) and it's operating at 5400rpm which is going to be slow unless you are just using it for archiving your data. Get a 120Gig WD 1200JB drive, it's 7200rpm and has an 8meg cache which is going to make it a wickedly fast drive.
