What are the best 15in LCD flatscreen displays out there currently for 2D work. It will mainly be used for reading text and Web based research.

In order of importance:

1. Image quality (not a fan of those lcd's that smear the image when u scroll down/up)
2. Reliability
3. Quiet
4. Portability
5. Price (cheaper, the better)

I've been out of the display loop for a while, but would GREATLY appreciate you fellow anandtechers recommendations. Thanks.

thanks king.

what's the difference between the L365 and L375? EIZO.com only shows the L367 and L375. Is the L367 the updated versino of the L365? The prices for these seem kinda high ~$400. Perhaps getting a 17inch on a "deal" is a better idea?

point 1 - you'll have a hard time finding an LCD with little to no ghosting in the 15 inch range - the manufacturers seem to be concentrating their efforts on 17 inches + for the 16ms panels
point 2 - shouldn't be an issue with any LCD, although some may have more dead pixels off the bat than the others
point 3 - shouldn't be an issue with any LCD, unless by some fluke you'd get one with a backlight hum (if there is such a thing)
point 4 - not an issue with any LCD
point 5 - if you want little ghosting, you're going to pay through the nose most likely

if I were you, I'd check out the 17 inch + models, as that is were the innovation seems to be lately

Oh yes, L367 replaces L365.
L375 has thinner bezel than L367.
L375 has dual dvi, no vga.

Dell is having 10% off every LCD, you can get L367 for $383.

I have a dell 17" flat panel at work and it absolutely sux for photoshop. I can always do my work on a crt better. Just shows so much stuff that is missed on an lcd.

I would suggest a nice 21" crt mmmmm mmmm
