Best 14.1" widescreen laptop currently on the market?

i didnt know they made 14.1 widescreen laptops. i think they make 15.2 ones though, or at least those seem to be more common

Really? He said for widescreen, anything above 14 would be too big. He was pretty sure 14.1 widescreens existed. I wouldn't know.

Definitely the dv1000. You can get it with 256MB, 40GB, P-M 1.6, CDRW, & Brightview screen for $1100. So a bigger/faster HDD, more RAM, and DVDRW can EASILY be had for under $2000. There will be a review coming out soon on the Compaq V2000 and DV1000 at the website in my sig, check it out 🙂
 
For some reason he hates the HP lappys. Says the screens look "weird."

Anyway he's wondering what you all think about the Sony S Series laptops.
 
The Sony S series are nice, but pricey. Check out this review here. IMO, a dv1000 is a MUCH better investment than the Sony. tell your friend to get over his dislike of HP screens 😛
