Alrighty.. here's the deal.

For work we need a good video camera that will be able to record footage.. probably at least 2 hours worth or more at a time, transfer that to a PC, and then from there we'll put it on a CD so people can watch at their own PC..

Is there a camera that records digitally that has an interface to the PC? Or would I be better off getting a good 8MM and a video card (It would have to work with NT4 probably).

Mpeg would be nice or anything I can later Divx/mpeg4 up onto a CD to make things compact.

I kind of need this info fast and since I never looked into this for my own use, I have no idea where to start :) THanks a lot

Here is a good site .VCD Help NT 4 maybe a problem, but I would think you would get the best results with a DV(JVC makes some inexpensive mini dv) and firewire card. I think most cameras will get you a card and editing software.

I was looking at something like that.. and yeah, looks like NT4 may be a problem. We may be able to set up a box with 98 though and throw in a firewire card.

Otherwise I'm going to need a good rec for a good video capture card :)
