However, I can put this in a tablet usage model, hence why I chose it. It is good if you need all spectrum of ability of dedicated tablet to a dedicated laptop, (and I would say this again) without two separate devices or feeling the need you missed your laptop back home/work or wanting to quickly break out your computer (without the bulkiness handling of a laptop).
Also, the expenses is justified, as you mentioned, it is component wise and performance wise a laptop with combined features that most laptops do not have (namely that Cintiq like pen display).
Well, for me it's pretty much what I don't want. I much prefer a 7-10" dedicated tablet and a 12-13" laptop.
It's nice you can add a keyboard to it and have the Surface 2 Pro work as a laptop, but it's not going to be my primary laptop because it's too cramped.
Mind you my usage is perhaps somewhat different than some. For most on the road stuff I use my phone. I use my tablet on the couch (and therefore a keyboard is completely superfluous for the tablet most of the time), and for productivity work I like a more "roomy" screened laptop.
As for the weight, the Surface Pro 2 is monstrously heavy, roughly twice as heavy as what I'd prefer.
However, I could see myself liking Surface Pro 2 for stuff like vacations, or else for the occasional times I go to a conference and don't need a full fledged laptop. In this latter situation I have sometimes used an iPad with a keyboard case, but a Surface Pro 2 with keyboard would be better suited for this.
