Besides the Samsung 172W, are there any other good 16:9 LCDs?

Specs

1280x768, 16:9, 23ms, DVI-D. I think it's a little hard to beat that for CDN$800 (USD$586)

I'm open to suggestions though, or a recommendation of a good 4:3 DVI TFT.

Very good choice for the price. Play some FPS like enemy territory at 60fps-90fps and don't notice ghosting. Only thing is it's more of a wide screen 15" than 17" because the height
is short compared to a normal 17" LCD.

That's about the right proportions - a 15" with an extra inch and a half of horizontal. I've heard that despite the 23ms "slow" response time it's quite good on the ghosting issues in games & DVD playback.

Check out the PACCO IX at Costco, 17" ws with 16ms response time and TV tuner with remote. Only thing missing is DVI input.

I have this LCD as my secondary display. It is awesome to watch DVDs on, and more than gets the job done for a second ary display. I play my games on a 191T so no resolution problems there. It was a great price with a 50 dollar rebate awhile back.
I can't stand to watch DVDs on a computer without it!
