besides the p5Q Pro & UD3R, are there any other worthy motherboards for overclocking a Q6600?

Don't really need anything else other than overclockability/stability.

USB's are always good, a good onboard sound is good in case i want switch from my audigy2 zs. other than that i dont need raid/firewire/dual lan/ crossfire is a plus.

how does the p35/p45 DFI bloodiron compare to the p45 motherboards in the title? any other MBs worthy?

Since P35 and P45 are mature by now, my opinion is that all boards out there are good for normal overclocking. FOr extreme overclocking the CPU, RAM, PSU and GPU are becoming more relevant. So never run into bad P35/P45 board so far. I would stick to the GigaByte, MSI, Asus boards.

I'd personally stay away from the P35 chipset if you want high FSB and stability with a quad. P45 seems good so far, had some decent results with the board in my sig.

My gigabyte p45 ds3L is the easiest ocing mobo I have ever had. My old 6400 conroe does 3.44 all day with just one click using their Easytune6 ocing software. Don't let the price fool ya. Gigabyte made a killer board with this one.

The Pro is missing some voltages that the deluxe has, that you'll need for a quad.
Go for the P5Q Deluxe or go for the EP45-UD3P/R

That's pretty much it I think. The UD3P allows crossfire.

I think this is on the same topic, but can anyone tell me the difference between the EP45T-UD3P and the EP45-UD3P? What does that T stand for?

copy / paste from another overclocker's settings w/ similar specs -- then printed the settings on paper and began my testing until it worked! luckily, i didn't have to change much. :)

btw, cpuz shows vcore @1.328 w/ aforementioned settings.

DFI boards are very good and well supported BIOS-wise from DFI. I have a DFI LP LT P35-T2R which I'm using to o/c my X3360 to 8.5x400. I love it and will only buy DFI boards from now on... I ran Asus stuff before, but DFI is bullet proof by compairson.

I think the DFI LP DK P45 T2RS would definitely be a great choice. I have the P35 version of it and I am absolutely in love. BIOS is so extensive I could never hope to understand or use all the features it offers. :p

thanks for the heads up... but i already got the ep45-ud3r.

dfi made greats buts, but i had a very negative experience with them with nf4 and memory compatibility.
