Users started getting the Error 400 message a few days ago out of the blue. There has been no upgrades and/or any other configuration changes to the server.
The error in its entirety is:
HTTP Error 400: Bad Request
The server could not understand the page request, or was unable to process it for some reason. Please try loading a different page.
OK Details
If I click details, I receive:
Unknown host Yahoo! (This is not a site specific error.)
I have stopped and restarted the MDS service and even rebooted the BES server. I have attempted to enable logging to get more details but no logs are created or I am looking for them in the wrong place.
To get logging working, I have gone into "Blackberry MDS Connection Service/Logs" and have changed HTTP logging enabled & Verbose HTTP logging enabled to True.
I then tried to go to a few different sites and the error was recreated on the handheld however no log files were generated in "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\MDS\Servers\ServerName\logs.
In researching RIM's support site, I found and article that said to edit the "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\MDS\Servers\ServerName\config\rimpublic.property" file adding the following lines:
application.handler.http.logging=true
application.handler.http.logging.verbose=true
I then repeated the step of attempting to regenerate the error on the handheld and then checked the log directory and still found no logs generated.
Please help while I still have some hair that hasn't been completely pulled out!
