Refuses to eat until Bernie is selected. Just heard that lead in on MSNBC. Sounds like he's either going to die or cave in. I give him 48 hours until he fails.

Sorry no link it was broadcast news.

And if that doesn't work, he is going to hold his breath until his face turns blue. I'm bummed Bernie didn't get the nomination, but now it's more important to ensure that drumpf doesn't get in the white house.

Its an election, there will be others no matter who gets elected things won't change that much because our system has so many checks and balances.

It's like dealing with small children. When they don't get everything they want, it's time to stomp one's feet and cry.

Politics is the art of compromise and building coalitions to push your agenda forward. You're almost never going to get all you want on the first go.

Yep, I remember being young and stupid (idealistic). Eventually reality smacks you in the face a few times and you realize that you will never get all that you want and you go with the best result that you can live with.

I like Bernie, but I could never be a supporter of his, because look at them.
They are too lazy to vote in midterms or local elections, basically letting the GOP take Governorships and Congress without a fight, and pretty much kill the progressive agenda that they supposedly support. But they show up at the primaries and throw a tantrum because they think that one guy will fix all the problems that their own inaction has created. Which of course helps the GOP and again undermines the progressive agenda they claim to be die hard proponents of.

It's not like he ever really had a chance to get nominated to begin with. The DNC seemingly made sure that the fix was in before the primaries even started.

What does that really mean though? That Hilary promises something on her website that has no bearing on her actual agenda when she gets elected? Obama's 2008 website was filled with that kind of stuff.

Bernie supporter basically got a gold star, party platforms mean dickall.

Bernie loves left wing dictators south of Texas. But he's no Castro. The ironic thing is, he may yet see one elected. The same one that rigged the Democrat primaries.

They are too lazy ...

As if the stereotype of the "lazy" Bernie supporters is not STUPID ENOUGH, it is even more stupid to generalize all Bernie supporters.

Different story if this was some fringe group without significant influence. It's not. It's a HUGE percentage of democrats, independents, liberals. Only an idiot would think that all liberals or all those finding VALID issues with the current system are "lazy". What a primitive Kindergarten way of thinking.

Don't over-generalize about Bernie supporters. I am one. I vote in every election national and local. If I was in a swing state I would do what Senator Sanders says and cast my vote for Senator Clinton. Luckily for me I can vote for a 3rd party candidate for President while voting for Democratic candidates down-ticket without changing the electoral count for president.

Maybe you're right about the vast majority (and unfortunately likely so) of Berni voters but remember....

Oh and

http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/27/politics/hillary-clinton-trans-pacific-partnership-terry-mcauliffe/

Clinton has said on the campaign trail that she opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 12-nation trade deal negotiated by President Barack Obama's administration, citing its lack of provisions to crack down on currency manipulation.
But McAuliffe said in an interview with Politico that he believes she'd flip-flop and support the deal.
"I worry that if we don't do TPP, at some point China's going to break the rules -- but Hillary understands this," he said. "Once the election's over, and we sit down on trade, people understand a couple things we want to fix on it, but going forward, we got to build a global economy."
Pressed on whether Clinton would reverse her position, McAuliffe told Politico: "Yes. Listen, she was in support of it. There were specific things in it she wanted fixed."
Already, Republican nominee Donald Trump is seizing on McAuliffe's remarks as evidence Clinton is willing to flip-flop.
"Just like I have warned from the beginning, Crooked Hillary Clinton will betray you on the TPP," Trump tweeted.

Thanks for shitting the bed Terry McAuliffe....

I have to admit I'm surprised at the devotion he has gotten from a lot of people. Having watched some of his speeches I didn't find them that inspirational or interesting.

I respect his integrity, but come on.

For some people... particularly those who are likely to be idealists (like young millenials), when you see most elected officials seemingly sell their souls for campaign contributions then come across someone who has pretty much (as far as I can tell) said the same things throughout a multi-decade career in public office...

It can inspire seemingly irrational devotion.

Fair enough. The question is if Bernie's failure makes them motivated to do better next time, or give up and become apathetic about a process that protects its elites above all others.
