Don't start pouring the champagne just yet. Next week it'll come out that he's juiced up and failed his piss test.

Guess I'm the only one who follows this sport of kings.

go figure. It was an impressive win nonetheless.

You aren't alone. :)

heh, thanks.

Thing is I've been thinking about buying a race horse. Just to be "part of it"
Nothing like spending somewhere along the lines of $750 a month (appx what is spent in AZ to keep 1 horse - in CA, NY, KY,etc MUCH MUCH more) to feed, stable, maintain, train, race, vet, etc an animal that runs for 30 seconds to a minute that will forever change your life. Also its not an animal that you can grow too close to, chances are you will buy a claimer (only like 50 of the 100K+ horses bred each year are stakes horses). It is a helluva feeling though when that horse wins, or looses by a length, or just makes that turn for home. god what a feelin:thumbsup:

Yeah, I was just thinking of a decent claimer. spideyspeed would be his name.

It's the monthly out that is keeping me away. 20K on the horse doesen't seem too bad and I'd have Dale Romans train him here in KY.

Good looking horse by the way! What track?

i just run small tracks in AZ. That pic from Flagstaff. Currently we are in Prescott - occasionaly they simulcast out there i imagine.
I like AZ cause it lets guys like me have a racehorse without all the hassle of the big tracks.
