Can we run that Cluster in Seventeen or Bust and knock the others out cold ?
Finish that then move on to the next project.

Win one at a time.

No, it's already been decided that these racks will crunch SETI, and SETI only. When SETI 1 ends, they will proceed to SETI 2, if that exists. In the rare chance that it does not (!), I guess the people who contributed the parts and money will have the first say in what it does.

Anyway, glad to hear the news. Good job LANMAN, Shux, et. al. :D

It just got it's seond workunit done!
If its sucking off of its own Queue is can we use that for stats until it gets its own stats page?

The funny thing is with 2 WUs its alread completed more workunits than "42.295% of our users." :p

No, they would need to rewrite SETI with MPI or another library (not happening) or install an OS like Mosix on all computers (possible, but not likely given the learning curve) to make it a true Beowulf. But since the name Beowulf is cool, and since the separate computers are all working toward a common goal (sort of like a true Beowulf), we still call it a Beowulf, anyway. :p

BTW, Lanman, what OS are you running on the nodes? If it happens to be Linux, then switching to Mosix wouldn't be that hard, after all.
