And another question, can I ren poorman html server off a mounted windows drive. how do you point to it? /boot/windowsdrive? or / ?
still tryin to figure out path names.

any help would be great.

ftp: need a little more detail... I don't understand the question.

poorman: yes you can run the server and use the windows drive for the data...
use the format /windowsdrive to point to it.

Eg. the mounted windowsdrive is called Win98, then poorman needs to point to /Win98

I am just tryin to run an ftp server on the beos machine. I tried using campus,
but as soon as I got in (ftping from windows machine) I can't see the directory listing, or do anything really, but I am in. I am wondering if it is to do with permissions or something. Maybe I will go back to running simpleserver and ser U ftp in windows. I just like how beos serves up the pages.

thanks for help

Hmmm, I haven't used Campus.... too many people seemed to have problems with it.

I've have good experiences with Solo FTP. Simple to use and it served my purposes -- I don't know what your requirements are.

If Solo doesn't fit your needs, I recommend asking your question over at the BeGroovy Forums and maybe some of the long time users may be able to help. I can also look into it more if you want.
