I was looking to purchase the Benwin Flat Panel Speakers (Model BW2000), and I was wondering if they were any good? Opinions people? Thanks for any help!
No!!!:frown: They look cool, but you can do much better. They have NO bass, NONE!! Highs aren't too bad, but only if you find the sweet spot. You would do better going to a PC show & getting the $25 no name set.
Yeah, I know about the outpost deal already, that was why I was asking, but thanks for the heads up for anyone who is reading this thread. The funny thing about outpost.com is that the black ones have overnight shipping, but white ones have 1-2 weeks for shipping. Odd huh?
from those who do have it, it's a general concensus that the woofer sucks, and that flat panel requires proper placement to be as effective as it can be.
MWink: Glad to help. Just out of curiousity, are you running another speaker set with these to compensate for the lack of bass?
hans007: Yeah, the monsoons seem to be better, but the monsoons are hella expensive whereas the Benwin are only $29.95 with free overnight shipping. What can I say...I'm cheap...well..err..I'm broke too, but that's besides the point.
Last time I used just the them. I got them today and I noticed that they changed how they works slightly. They seem a little better than the older ones I had. I might use my old Benwin (normal speakers) speakers that I have been using. They have EXCELLENT sound for costing $15. They also have great bass. I have not yet decided how I am going to do it this time.
