Bent pins on usb 3 header

I managed to bend the pins on the wifes usb 3.0 header of her MSI H87 g43 mobo. It was difficult to fit the cable from the CSI Spectre case usb3 cable into the header, I just did not have the room as the cable was a poor design. I dont like the usb3 header on the mobo. I think this design will give so many bent pins. I have a spare usb 2 header on the motherboard so I will just get an adapter. We dont have any USB 3 devices that we know of anyway.

Get some needle nose pliers and straighten them back out? Won't be prefect, but it should work. The internal 3.0 connector is a better design than the 2.0 IMO. You shouldn't apply any significant force to a connector like that. If it doesn't slide on easily, then it's not sitting right.

They could be straightened out, but there is no room for the long plug to plug into the usb header in this case. I have ordered a usb adapter from fleabay for £2.04 so at least the usb ports on the case can be used.
