Bent pins on AMD64 processors

I have recently acquired an AMD64 3200+ with a bunch of pins that are pretty mangled (30 or 40), and one broken off. Is it at all rescuable, or dead forever?

Edit: by recently acquired, I mean "bent myself via a total &^&*#-up"

yes, take a .5mm mechanical pencil with the lead taken out and slip it over the pins, then bend them whichever way they go.

for the broken pin, youll just have to try it in a system

i would advise you to return it, though.

Bent pins may be healable, but a missing one would mess things up pretty badly, I would think.

I had successfully unbent all but that one. I have already come to terms with the loss, but there is a gilmmer of hope inside of me.

You can return it? I thought stuff like luser-induced damage wasn't covered?

If I can get any money back (or just another one!), I would be sooooooooooooooo enthused.

I mean did someone sell it to you like on ebay like that. if you did it yourself, or knew that it would be damaged, then no.
