So I managed to bend my USB stick whilst it was in my laptop, so the USB port is now most likely dead. Is the USB stick recoverable, anything important was copied but it would be really useful to have it back.

Spec-wise it's a 4GB Wristvault Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 backwards compatible

I don't know how to attach an image that actually works so here's a link to the picture https://imgur.com/GxJR9sH

Not a very clear pic...

I also highly doubt the USB port itself on the laptop is dead, unless you released the magic smoke?
It is possible to very carefully bend it back, and, as long as the contacts are still good, should be able to read from it. If not, you need to solder the contacts again.

In regards to the flash drive, I badly bent it and obviously broke the contacts so it was unusable. I did not want to take the chance of soldering it back myself so I went to a computer store and for $20 they fixed it. I was so happy I gave the guy a $5 tip.
Now, however, I use only the SanDisk ultra fit sticks you can find at
Amazon or other places

so that there is no chance of of bending them. The only thing that might be a problem is that they are so small they could be hard to find if you misplace them or drop them. But that hasn't been a problem so I am going to get another today, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday.
