Bent CPU pins

I have a celeron 466 with 3 bent pins. Is it possible to straigten them out? And will I have prob with processor?

Gosh... I have straightened out a many a CPU pin and it worked just fine... 😉

Just be careful that you don't break one off doing it! 😉

The end of a mechanical pencil, at the end where the lead slides in, just happens to be the correct size to slip over the pins and straighten them. 🙂

Steve beat me to the "Pencil Trick" but another handy tool is a toothpick. Run it thru the gaps between the rows of pins and it will straighten (and find) the bent ones.

Make sure you are grounded before you touch the pins. You can easily fry your chip with static especially this time of year. Keep in contact with a grounded surface like your computer chasis while you are messing with the chip. This is a good practice with all computer hardware installations.
