Scheduled to be released any month now.

Not sure if this is new, but they are to use "Intrinsic Preoperty II as well as Sensey technologies".

I'm actually waiting for Samsung to come out with something similar. In the AT review for the Samsung 172x, they noted that Samsung would come out with a single-digit ms response time LCD soon. This was a long time ago and I have not seen any update on this.

I also noticed that the Samsung 172x's price has gone down over $100 in the past 5 months or so. Has something come out recently that competes with it? Actually, I've noticed LCD prices in general have been falling...

LCD prices have been falling in general and Samsung released the 710T, which is basically the exact same thing as the 172x but was something like $100 cheaper on launch, so the 172x's price needed to drop. The base is pretty, but it's not worth THAT much more.
