Where I live the only screen that is 120hz is BenQ XL2420T. The XL2420TE didn't arrive yet and maybe wont come at all. The differences are: the New ZeroFlicker technology, 144hz and 1ms GTG The question is are they really significant? is it worth the wait and the extra money?
Probably not worth it. XL2420T is a very nice 120hz panel, and it supports zero motion blur which, if enabled on a 144hz panel, will only work in 120hz mode anyway.
As for the new ZeroFlicker technology of XL2420TE, it's hard to say if it makes a difference or not, will have to wait and see.
From what I understand with the older (non TE) version people were having issues with brightness being too high during lightboost even when brightness is set to zero. Apparently the TE version allows you to dim it down and looks better. YMMV on this and I suggest double checking my statement.
1. there's no way the XL2420T is too bright with Lightboost on
2. with ToastyX's Strobelight tool, that brightness can easily be dropped down, not that I ever do because its already relatively dim @ 100%
Check the USA website:

It's crazy. You can't tell before buying. For a guarantee of 144Hz/ZeroFlicker, you should order the XL2420TE from Amazon or another source that is advertising it as the XL2420TE
A very interesting characteristic of the XL2420TE is the ability to dim over a much wider range, interesting for those people who think Brightness=0% of current 120Hz monitors are still way too bright for them.
its on their shop page but not on their products page for the main site. The features that are being mentioned here are not features the TX model has. The TX model is the same as the T model, but with a built in emitter.
I don't know why the TE model wouldn't be on their site, it is being shown at online stores: http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2420TE-.../dp/B00D7IG556

and on their main site they list even the XL2420T as flicker free but I guess thats different than zero flicker. lol

I had the XL2420TX last year and returned it within an hour due to the extreme eye fatigue and terribad headaches it caused.
Last night I happily BF4'd for hours and hours on the TE. My only major complaint is that the top 1/2 is dimmer than the bottom 1/2 and is very distracting when browsing.
Also, if I enable LB, will the backlight suddenly start using PWM control? I'm afraid to try cause I don't wanna touch the sun and then never again be able to. 🙁

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the monitor? TN displays have color shift issues when not viewed from the right angle, which is straight ahead...the wrong tilt can effect it.
I don't have this behavior with mine so you might have a defect if it's not an angle issue.
