BenQ+quality control=does not compute!

No complaints about their 7day 1 dead/bright pixel warranty...but it must cost them a small fortune in returns!

Bought the 17' 12ms panel for a friend, the first two we took home only 2discover the bright pixels, the other five we looked at in the shop! Its an awes screen, bit ghosty with fast stuff 4my liking but 4 what he uses it for (CAD/Vis/Sims2) its perfect.

Is this an isolated example of quality control gone AWOL, or is it just that they bank on pple not noticing/caring about the bright/dead pixel? Interestingly 6 of the panels had 1 bright pixel each, and one had 1 dead pixel...so i guess thats not as bad as having several everytime.

Yes!! I love people like you. Just say no to defective products it's bad enough they LIE on response times. If everyone was like you maybe these punks pimping these defective products would give everyone a working LCD.

PS I took back about 12 LCD's till I found one with zero dead pixels. I paid for 1310720 pixels.. and I better get that...some had 1310717, 1310714, 1310719. :|

Needless to say after that "experiance" I won't be buying another LCD until they start telling the truth on response time and give me a woking, as advertised, product out the gate.

Odd. My first LCD (and current one) didn't have any dead pixels when I ordered it, nor now. Some people must have horrible luck with this. Samsung's got a zero-dead pixel policy, but unfortunately I bought my LCD before the date it takes effect. I'm not sure if the policy only applies in Korea, or if they have migrated it to the US as well. That should introduce some fierce competition and put and end to this dead pixel madness.
