I got a BenQ EW3280U back in December and it stopped working last week. It won't power on, the power LED just flashes white. BenQ told me it is broken. I'm waiting on RMA approval to get it fixed, but I assume it will be out of service for a few months.

I'm looking for suggestions on a replacement monitor, optimally looking for 4k HDR10 with a 12 bit color. It needs to fit in a space limitation of either 27.25 inches in width or 17 inch height (sloped roof with a notched area). It will go on a VESA arm and powered by an RTX 3070. I really don't know who makes reliable monitors, the more I look, the more it seems there is a 20%-ish fail rate with monitors. I could just be interpreting wrong too.

I really liked everything about the monitor except that it failed so I'm considering the BenQ EW2780U. Any idea if this is better or worse for failure than the bigger version?

I play Battlefield and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I don't mind 60hz refresh. I am learning photo and video editing.

Budget is $500.

Thanks!
