BenQ FP241w: When will 1:1 pixel mapping be a gaurantee

The reviews and comments have sold me on the BenQ fp241w. My only hold up is this issue over the 1:1 pixel mapping. I know there is a revision in the works, but when/how will I know that I'm buying a monitor with the firmware upgrade already installed?

While I'm here, how is an Radeon x1900xt gonna hold up on this display. In particular, how will a maxed out World Of Warcraft run at 1920 x 1200 with this card.

-Thanks!

I'm in the same exact boat. This may be the monitor that pushes me to ditch the crt. I do plan on using the display for console gaming as well, so it's imperative. I emailed benq about it and so far haven't recieved a response (been over two weeks).

Anyway, I suppose thats a bump :p

really? that would be nice for sure. I read up on the wz and didn't see anything about 1:1, but maybe I missed it. You'd think they'd list it in their tech specs.

You use NVIDIA cards so you should be able to do 1:1 that way.

More news here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news.htm#official_benq

Supposedly they are adding more DDC/CI (DDC control interface) features, making adjustments to the LCD possible via the graphics card and complementary software.

I guess you're right xtknight, but that still wouldn't help me with console gaming. Anyway, I'm not a fanboy. If ATI (or I guess it's AMD now) releases something that looks good to me, I'd pick it up. I'd like this monitor to last me through several more computers.

Anyway, I'm still not sold on this monitor, or any for that matter :p Thanks for the info though :)

Maybe so you can run games at a lower resolutions without looking like complete crap and not try to keep up with the need for a new $600 GFX card every three months?

Also waiting for the 1:1 pixel mapping. I am sold on the monitor, obviously better than 2407 in my opinion.

Lowest price I could find was HERE. Anyone know about their reputation or have worked with them before? Possibly dead pixel policy?
