i bought the dw-822 back in april the week it was released and i have burned over 100 movies with it. it's a great drive for dvd burner but the major flaw it has is ripping copy protected cd games.
I have not found a good drive for that yet. The Anti-Piracy guys are hard at work as soon as a new drive is released. I like to back my games up so I don't make any mistakes like I did with an Office 97 disc back in the day. It sure makes life suck when you can't back them games up.
2510 is a dual layer drive, this is a single layer. I have burned over a hundred DVD's on mine without any trouble at all. I strongly recommend the Benq drives to my customers.

Benq will release an official firmware allowing Dual layer capabilites on the DW-822a this fall.
I believe this is a DW-822A not a DW-822 if there is a difference. The pickup option has a fee, which is the same price as ground shipping.
