Benq DQ-60 DVD BURNER $32.99 shipped Newegg

Yeah I showed this link to my friend to buy. DVD burners are becoming cheaper and cheaper. I'm going to get one myself soon.

Oh btw, this deal comes with a free Philips 700MB 52X CD-R 10 Pack Disc as a combo deal.

How much do the "free" cdr's add to shipping??? $7?

"Free" cd-r 10 pack adds $5.46 to the order. No deal there. The drive, however, is a nice deal with FREE shipping!

Reports seem very mixed on this drive. Its big feature is it can do dvd-ram. Don't know how important that may become. This drive is not related to the outstanding 16xx line. I have a 1655 Benq and the drive will do an excellent quality burn at nearly any speed on nearly any media. The 16xx series can adapt to the media on the fly. After the nightmare of trying to get a good burn from 4 different burners on 2 PC's using 3 different OS installs I highly suggest getting the 16xx series Benq. I sound like a Benq buttboy but I wasted so much time on this I feel that my time was less wasted if I can help others save some time and frustration.

this drive uses a different chipset from the 16xx drives.
the 16xx drives are suppose to be much better from what i've read online.

yeah, I'm waiting for this series to support DVD-RAM should I ever get it. For now I'm loving my 1655 (a little more expensive, although worth it IMO)
