How does he make people faint by touching their cheeks? Does he scam the audience by bringing out people with disabilities that claim to be cured?

He scams the audience by making outrageous and baseless claims to the fantastically undereducated and impoverished.

the same can be said with freud... people wanted to believe in his bs, so they went along with it. quacks come in all shapes and sizes.

he creates a mass hysteria and people just believe it in their minds that he can make them pass out. Then he passes out the buckets and rakes in millions tax free.

Benny Hinn gives Christianity a bad name. He is definitely a fraud and NOT a Christian!

I knew Benny when he was just starting out in the ministry. He wasn't a fake then, and still isn't today. Know of a number of people who received healing. But most importantly, received Christ into their lives, which by far is the greatest of miracles.

I am tempted to make a comment as to the brand of Christianity he espouses... but if it works for people, more power to 'em.

You can drag Benny Hinn through the mud as far as I care, but don't even mess with Benny Hill......;)

I wish this thread was about Benny Hill.

I'm trying to recycle my CH DVD club membership, is Benny Hill available for the XB6D deal?

"How does he make people faint by touching their cheeks?"

The term that's used in Charismatic/Pentecostal circles for this is being "slain in the Spirit". The people are not "fainting" as it may appear. They are in a state of openness to the Holy Spirit of God (Yahweh). "A" manifestation of God's ministry to them is the falling down.
I don't claim that it is the "only" manifestation that they are being ministered to, but "a" sign of ministry taking place.

I have experienced this manifestation while being prayed for at a church I had attended. I was definately open to God's ministry at the time. The only hands that were touching me were the Pastor's (on my forehead), and some others hands (on the back of my shoulders).
I felt very warm "hands" against my ribs. They felt gentle and comforting. I was totally relaxed by the experience and fell back to the floor (was let down to the floor by the persons behind me). I didn't just flop down on my back.

I can say for certain that it was a totally positive experience for me. While laying on the floor, I could feel my heart (spiritual), being ministered to.

I cannot speak for every person who "lays hands" on others or even those being prayed for. I understand that there are fakers out there and people very susceptible to suggestion or peer pressure. I can only speak on behalf of the experience that I had.

I say that because he has been exposed as a fraud, and the type of "healing services" he does are not biblical. He leads a lot of people into believing that they are healed when they are not. Read Acts 3, 1-7. Here Peter and John simply heal a lame man by a simple phrase, not a bunch of "Benny Hinn hoopla". The man was healed because Peter and John had tremendous faith that God would heal that man.

If memory serves correctly, there are only a couple of instances in the Bible where someone was slain by the Spirit. In both instances they fell down in a prostate manner, ie facedown, in a position of worship.

I have watched a number of tapes on these "revival" ministries. I have yet to see anyone, after being "slain", fall in a position of worship.

Benny Hinn is no healer. It's all staged and simply entertainment at best. He makes a *ton* of money from his touring.
