So I went to Benihanas again last night. I like their teppanyaki grill, for a chain restaurant, it is quite good and the chef makes an interesting show out of it. Dinner is kind of expensive though, lunch is a better deal. The person I took had never gone and thought it was good also.

Lunch is a great deal.
Funny thing about the Benihana's I go to (near SFO), almost all the 'chefs' are Hispanic. They make Hispanic references when cooking. Its definitely entertaining.

Hibachi rice with extra garlic butter, mmmmmmmm

I like that place. I went the first day I was a vegan.

The woman said "Big boy like you not eat any meat? You get small!"

All you Seattle people, head over to the downtown Benihana's right around 11:30 AM for the BEST SUSHI BUFFET! Weekdays only.

i like benihanas, but i'm not sure its worth what they charge

For anyone who lives in the San Jose, CA area, there's a restaurant on corner of Homestead Ave. and Wolfe Rd. called Kingswood Table. It has a menu similar to Benihana, has good food 🙂 and is much, much cheaper.

That really spicey stir fry(they give you chili sauce to add) is pretty good. The chefs are all very friendly & informative about how they cook. Overall though, I don't really like the place. A couple family members ordered filet mignon once, & he ended up slicing it into little strips & frying them up. He destroyed a set of perfectly juicy steaks!

if u ever tasted REAL japanese teppanyaki, benihana is not anywhere near "good"

Well Benihana is REAL japanese teppanyaki...you do realize it's founder Rocky Aoki is Japanese, plus it's now also in Japan...it may be a little westernized and spiced up with the 'act', but it's not that much different.

A lot of REAL japanese teppanyaki places suck compared to an average Benihana's....also some are better. Just because it's in Japan or ran by a Japanese person doesn't make it spectactular. It's like saying all american steak houses are great. That's hardly the truth but easterner's think that way.

y0 JDM tight, aight.
