edit- and cicny has been exposed....terribly. they are not a bowl team. this was a huge win for the pats. they have jax left and thats the only losss i could see happening.

jax will steamroll NE. along with a few other teams, including the bears.

jaguars are tough.

Wouldn't running the table mean going undefeated?

Not sure it should have been penalized tho, yes there was helmet to helmet contact but he didn't go in head first he tried to hit the guy sideways instead of head on like he could have.

yes, the results were devastating, but those kind of hits used to be what football was about.

Yeah, but football also used to result in a hell of a lot more horrible injuries. Plus, without new rules these bigger / faster / stronger guys would simply destroy each other.

Going back to the hit, the problem was not only that there was helmet-to-helmet but also that he was aiming for the top portion of the receiver's body.

PaulNEPats, is that you under a second username?

They're getting married at half-time of the next New England Superbowl victory.

this loss isn't a bad thing for the Bengals. Better to learn you need to get better now, rather than in the playoffs.

hey, if anyone can host, i will have the giant hit in 1080i HD (gimme a few minutes to cut the entire thing)

edit: in order to preserve some quality, encoding this will take longer than predicted (speedy version looked like crap)

I think it's a little early to be calling any team " bowl bound" I am A Pats
fan but hey, it's hard to predict how teams play. Last week we looked like
dog-doo against the Broncos but this week came back strong against a
good cinn. team. The bears got a gift victory last week via the Vikings
but made seattle look like amatures sun. night. By the time week 10 or
so comes around we will have a better handle on the contenders/pretenders
for this season...
