benchmarking with RTCW

How? I have atdemo6-8 but I dont know whats the procedure. Any input appreciated.

most of the time the~ key gets you in but try the software forums bro surely the gamers there know

That only works with the RTCW MP test so instead use thecheckpoint demo which works on the full retail RTCW. To run it:

-Download the demo (Google should have it).
-Make a folder called Demos in the Main folder inside RTCW.
-Launch the MP version and type:

~
timedemo 1
demo checkpoint

When it's finished hit ~ again and you'll see your average framerate.

BTW if you have the game patched to version 1.3x you'll need to rename demo's file extension to get it to work.
