Benchmarking, temperature monitoring, etc

I just finished an i7 860 build with a Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 motherboard. Now I'd like to take it out for a spin and see what it can do.

What software packages do you recommend for benchmarking my system? Are there any that will let me post & compare my build on the internet with similar setups? Preference is for free/cheap software, but I'm willing to explore any you recommend.

Also, what's the best way to monitor my system's temperatures? How about electricity use? Anything else I have missed...?

Does raw benchmarks, burn-ins, monitors temps and specs.

As for the sharing, 3DMark is probably the most widely used. Has an online results board with comparisons. 3DMark Vantage costs money but previous versions are free. It's really unfortunate Futuremark stopped releasing shareware versions of their stuff.
