Hi guys.
I need some advice if it's possible.

I'm making a "competition" in a portuguese forum that envolves benchmark using the FurMark.

Well. What happens is that i have a GTX 680 OC and one guy have ATI 7950. He is using some "tricks" to have better score. I have a score of 53fps and he has 158 fps. He dont want to tell us how he can make that score. I use already OC on my 680 and i can't get her score. Can anyone help me?

Is futuremark resolution dependent? I'm wondering if you guys are running it at the same settings.

And i already change the exe. for example Furmark.exe to bench.exe.

Some bench works. this doesn't

Welcome to the forum :)

What settings are you using? Some cards do better than others at certain things. Maybe it's normal?

Trust me. Is not normal.
He says to search better but i can't find nothing. He speaks in tweaker, etc. I use OC in my card and he dont use and he continued to have more score.

I see no reason why you couldn't post the results here....Other than I guess it should have been in video card forum :)

Looking at your score then the score of the second 680 something looks to be wrong with your system to me. Ask the guy with the other 680 how he got such a high score.

nothing wrong with my score. There's another guy with a gtx 680 uqual as mine and he can't get that kind of score. Like i said. They found something to have that score. I think is some program.

Disabled AA at a driver level most likely or with an app is all I can think of.

Doesn't Nvidia now have application detection for furmark that throttle the card when it's being used, it's something a bit lower level than simple executable name detection although I can't remember from memory how they're doing it but there's a hack to disable it I believe, that should uncap the card and let it run flat out, although I don't know how dangerous that is...it's capped for a reason.

The higher scoring 680 was running 10C hotter, which implies that it was indeed doing a lot more work. Yours must be throttling somehow somewhere.

You need to generate a complete list of driver settings, and then comapre that to the other 680 machine.

The higher scoring system has twice as much memory and twice as many cores. Not sure if that matters, or how. It could matter quite a bit even if cpu load is only 25 or 50% on a 2500k.
