Benchmark Cheating!

whatever, who cares...do i read joe-blow reviews/articles about their overclocking success?...no, cuz i don't give a shizite...

reputable reviewers aren't gonna cheat, as it'd be pointless..the only person using that stupid utility (which looks like the CS speed cheat, adn seems to act similarly) are kids attempting to pass off extreme overclocks/benchmarks they're boasting..

This is the program used to speed cheat in Counter Strike, it was discovered and patched months ago. It simply changes what a tick is. It was quite annoying for a few days playing CS, but it was fixed. I really couldnt care less about people cheating on benchmarks, does it really matter? Now people cheating on RC5 and SETI is a different thing...

Can't believe ppl would use this. But, I'm sure there are. The chances are, they have no mates, are pretty useless at most things, lack self esteem and lie a lot in an attempt to be liked or noticed.

There's a moral here, don't be so keen to believe everything you see.

:frown:

People will cheat in contest for sure. It should be (hopefully) patched before long. The problem with this program is it really discredits unusually high overclocks. THE only way to tell if a person is truly running at a claimed speed (other than personal observation!) is for them to videotape the boot process and the running of a timedemo! :|

Cheers!
