That's hardly anywhere close to the 560mb/s and 430mb/s, is there something I should do to make it perform correctly or should is this a lemon and I should RMA it?

Specs:
i7-3770k
8gb RAM in dual-channel
radeon hd 7950
asrock z77 extreme6
ocz vertex 4 128gb
wd caviar blue 1tb

You have the drive connected to the wrong SATA ports. You have them on the ASMedia SATA3 ports and thus you have lower performance.
Connect the drive to one of the 2 Intel SATA3 ports.
The 560/430 benchmark is also done with ATTO, not AS-SSD.

I see.
My cousin assembled the PC for me, so I didn't know that. How exactly could you tell though?

They're color coded and that's what manuals are for. The mfgrs website will also clue you in to where the best ports are located too.

I'm not certain of the ASMedia ports interchange compatability level.. but generally speaking.. many 3rd party controller installs(like yours) can simply be swapped over to the Intel 6G port with out issue since the OS has all the default drivers needed inserted during any install.

Power down.. swap the sata cable to the Intel 6G port.. reboot.. and enjoy the faster 6G speeds.

Worst case is that it won't boot.. you choose not to repair so the OS doesn't freak out when you decide to power down and put the sata cable back onto the ASMedia port. Highly unlikely though as the bios and Windows is pretty smart these days.

I'd also expect some slowdown because you're benching the boot drive. Just a bit, nothing earth shattering.

Because of the driver listed in AS-SSD. "asahci64". When connected to the Intel SATA3 ports and the proper Intel RST drivers are installed, the driver says "IAstorA"

You have to be careful comparing AS-SSD scores, as I have found AS-SSD to be very sensitive to the cpu speed. Your cpu shouldn't slow you down at all, though.

Thanks for everyone's help! This forum is very useful, I didn't get much insight(if not any at all) on other places.

Is there a Best Answer feature here? I can't seem to find it.
