Ben Sheets strikes out 18 Braves

Wow... try to watch some highlights of this game. It's ridiculous how many times the Braves swung at his splitter (or wahtever it was) that bounced so far in front of home plate that the catcher couldn't even catch em. Some of the called strikes were really questionable, but the Braves swung at their fair share of them.

It's been awhile since baseball saw such a dominating performance

wow, first to reply. guess no one cares about ben sheets.

i saw the highlights and that was his breaking ball (curve ball) it was ridiculous how it just bottomed out. that's what happens when you have a 97MPH fastball. keeps them on their toes. he struck out the side in the 8th and 9th innings when most pitchers would start losing location. great performance. glad it was in front of his homefield.
