Doing my homework and forgot the word describes what kind of sangs these are called...it starts with "A".

"Plow deep while sluggards sleep, and you shall have corn to sell and keep."

"One today is worth two tomorrows."

First, you have to learn how to spell sayings.

Second, I think you're referring to his Poor Richard's Almanac, in which he published a lot of his famous quotes.

If that is what you mean, an almanac is not a name for sayings. It is a kind of reference book with information about a wide range of topics such as the weather, eclipses, and many others.

I know the word you are talking about but I can't remember it. If you have a lit book, look in the glossary. I know it was in mine. I don't have the book anymore or I would help you out. Sorry.
