That's a pretty intelligent pet to be able to tell when the windows needs washing and to communicate it to you in written English.

No, but my answer is weighted, as I'm not inclined to wash things anyway. I clean for health, and sanitation, but appearance is a low priority. Windows don't fall in the health or sanitation category.

Get a professional photographer to take a meaningful picture with good composition and clarity.

Then wash the window.

I'd try to see if I can get a good pic of it maybe with something black in the background, or maybe take out the window and cut that section and put it in a frame, but that might be going too far if there are already other items of sentimental value related to that pet, that I kept. I probably would not go out of my way to wash it, I never really wash car windows anyway, other than maybe the windshield so I'd probably leave it there until it eventually fades away.

The best memory of a pet is pics and videos though. Take a lot while they're well and alive. I can't imagine how hard it is to deal with losing a pet. :( I lost my other cat in the sense that she was let outside and got lost, and I miss her very much, but I think getting home to seeing it dead is probably much harder to take emotionally. At least when my cat was lost I knew she was probably alive somewhere, though it always bothered me because I did not know for sure, and still don't.

Personally I would wash them but can completely understand some who would want to leave them there for a while longer...

Let Debi wash it when she's ready. Personally I like to get rid of dead pet stuff because it makes me sad.

yes, wash them. A nicely framed picture is a much nicer token of remembrance.

Chloe my pup (15 mo.) passed march 1st. :( so sad.. I still have some dirty paw prints on the sliding glass door.. but its cold here.. I'll wash them when it warms up outside.

I keep a picture of the dog on my fridge, and I get to remember him every day that way. A dirty window? Not so much especially when the new dog is riding back there.

I don't mean to be insensitive but, try to make meaningful connections with people not pets. Pets are not people they don't have the feelings healthy people do. They are not sad they are not happy they don't like you they just want you to feed them that is it. If you need to connect call up some family members or do some good and volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
Wash the prints get rid of all the pet stuff and move on.

You're kidding right? Pets serve as good company, besides other people. Of course they couldn't communicate their feelings like people do. You have to watch their faces for any noise they make when they feel bad/sick. It's a responsibility of taking care of them. :hmm:

I'd take a picture of that window print and move on. Or get another pet.

This is one of those ignorant posts I've read on here in quite a while.

I think you're confusing pets with robots. Robots don't have real feelings, but LIVING CREATURES do.
